Lantronix Launches XPort Pro, World’s Smallest Linux Networking Server
Lantronix, Inc. , a leading provider of secure, remote management, device networking and data center management technologies, today announced XPort® Pro™, the newest addition to its popular XPort® family of embedded Ethernet networking and compute modules, used in millions of devices worldwide. XPort Pro provides customers with a powerful engine for deploying advanced applications at the network edge, all in an integrated, thumb-sized package.
In addition to having the identical form factor as the original XPort, the XPort Pro’s leading-edge architecture, 32-bit processing power and ample memory allow resource-intensive applications to be deployed on a single platform. Advanced networking and security features enable machine-to-machine (M2M) edge computing with unlimited customization and application hosting, providing developers with faster time-to-market and unprecedented application development options.
XPort Pro is available running Linux and IPv6, bringing the product to a global community and providing Linux developers with a tiny, powerful compute platform, along with an industry standard development environment. XPort Pro is also available with the feature rich, Evolution OS™ turnkey operating system and software development kit. This product also includes Lantronix’ patent-pending VIP (Virtual IP) Access technology, which allows seamless integration with the company’s ManageLinx remote services enablement platform.
